Chalet La Tassonnière
Perched under the Escalade of Bas Thex is this lovely family home and catered Chalet.

Available now for your alpine skiing holiday is the lovely Chalet La Tassonnière, located on the outskirts of the lovely village of Saint-Jean-d'Aulps.
With five flexible bedrooms and experienced owner-operators who live and work their chalet here in the valley all year-round, you will be welcomed as a local when you stay here.
Offering free shuttle bus at all times to take the hassle out, nothing is too much trouble here.
The chalet has two main indoor areas to occupy your evenings.
The upstairs dining hall is where you will enjoy your meals, and it's a large and spacious room on it's own with big windows looking out over the view.
It's here that your food is prepared and served, but afterwards you will probably retire to the newly refurbished lounge area downstairs.
The lounge area is warmed by a log-fire, and has the bar and games area as well.
With big doors out to the terrace for people using the hot-tub, it's a very comfortable place to spend the evening.
Chalet La Tassonière has five flexible bedrooms detailed below.
Many are larger than they need to be and could accommodate families in comfort.
Home-Cooked and Healthy
The cuisine at Chalet La Tassonière is home-cooked, healthy food made from fresh, local ingredients.
The focus is placed on taking traditional English and French recipes and then spicing them up with a twist of something different!
The evening four-course meal begins with a light starter, and the moves onto unique mains such as the cross-channel specialty - "Steak-and-Ale meets Beef Bourguignon".
Unlimited beer and wine is served with the meal and after, and the full honesty bar is available for those with wider tastes.
Every morning a full continental breakfast is laid out, with additional options of hot-food there for you to choose to have or not, such as eggs, porridge and similar dishes.
Returning from the slopes in the shuttle bus, you will be greeted with home baked cakes and vin chaud or hot chocolate if you prefer.
Easy to get in and out
Chalet La Tassonière is located on the main road into the hamlet of Bas Thex, directly adjacent Saint-Jean-d'Aulps. People who stay here generally ski at either the Grande Terche lift directly across the valley from Bas Thex, or one of the many ski lifts of nearby Morzine. The Grande Terche/Roc d'Enfer ski area has a selection of mid-skill level runs, and is not to be missed, especially as it's so close. Morzine is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season. Morzine's closest lift is the Ardent Telecabine, and this is approximately a 15 minute drive. With quick access via Telecabin from Morzine to Avoriaz, you can access the Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste. You can also easily access the Nyon and Le Pleney ski lifts leading over to the Les Gets resort area.
Chalet La Tassonière is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies. Alternatively we can organise private transfers for guests.
Staying at this chalet, it is not necessary to have your own car.
Chalet La Tassonière changes over on Sundays during Season. Short breaks can be happily accommoated, please ask for details and pricing.
