Chalet Takasago
A traditionally built ski chalet commanding an impressive view down the Morzine valley, Chalet Takasago is available now to book for your winter Ski Holiday.
With five flexible bedrooms spread out over three floors, there is plenty of room for everyone.
Enjoy this view from the comfortable seating by the log fire, from the private balconies of your bedroom, or from the new hot-tub on the terrace!
Located 500m from the Les Fys lift, and just 2 minutes by car to Le Pleney, it's an ideal location to get away with family or friends.
Sitting above Morzine and with an unbroken view down the valley is this lovely traditional Chalet, available for self-catering rental for season 2008/2009
.
The main areas of Chalet Takasago are warm and comfortable, with big windows along the south facing side of the building to allow you to enjoy the gorgeous views from any position in the room.
There is a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining table large enough to seat any family.
The lounge is lit with a log-fire and has a television with UK Satellite TV.
Several doors lead out to the terrace which commands the view.
Downstairs there is a large games room made from the converted garage, perfect for tucking the kids out of the way while you enjoy a glass of wine by the fire.
Chalet Takasago has 5 bedrooms in which to accommodate guests.
The en suite downstairs family room adjacent the games room has a double bed and full-size adults.
Additionally, there is a sofa-bed in this room for overflow.
The middle floor room has twin beds, and uses the full bathroom on this floor exclusively.
Upstairs there is another double and twin room, which share a bathroom and would be ideal for a family unit.
Finally, there is a large bedroom with full en suite and a double bed and child beds.
This room also has a quirky loft room lit with a ski-light, which in the past children have found quite enticing.
Chalet Takasago is sold as self-catering.
Just 2-3 minutes away by car in central Morzine is a large (10-12 aisle) supermarket for all your grocery needs.
Morzine also boasts a wealth of excellent restaurants for you to sample Savoyarde fare.
Alternatively, a Chef-to-Chalet delivered catering service can be happily organised for you, ask for more details and sample menus.
Chalet Takasago is located on the road that leads from the end of the Pleney Road towards Samoëns.
This places it walking distance in normal shoes from Morzine for a night out in the town, however we recommend transport for your skiing.
There is a lift, the "Les Fys" lift, just 500m from the Chalet.
If you're feeling energetic, you can walk to that lift quite easily, but it is uphill.
The most convenient accessible lift is either Le Pleney, at 2 minutes drive, or Super Morzine which is 3 minutes by car from the chalet.
People who stay here generally ski at one of the many ski lifts on this side of Morzine for easy access to ski-schools and Les Gets.
Morzine is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season.
With quick transit via Telecabin from Morzine to Avoriaz, you can access the Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste.
Staying at Chalet Takasago as self-catered, we do recommend you have your own transport.
Morzine is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies.
Alternatively we can organise private transfers for guests.
The Chalet changes over on Saturdays during season.

This room has a large and comfortable double bed. It also has full-size adult bunks built into the wall and a sofa-bed which can be made up if required.
There is also a lovely set of french doors leading to the terrace that let in a lot of light, making this a beautiful room to enjoy the view from.
They also allow swift access to the terrace and hot-tub!
