Chalet La Lune
Finished in 2003 and now available for your winter Ski Holiday is
Chalet La Lune, a unique, locally designed Ski Chalet in Essert-Romand, near the popular ski resort of Morzine.
Lit by a log fire, and with wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces, this chalet has a fresh feeling to it that allows you to let the Alps inside for your holiday.
With four bedrooms, the chalet sleeps up to 10 people.
Available now for self-catering rental is this spacious and airy Chalet home in Essert-Romand.
Chalet La Lune is a wonderfully unique property, designed by a local architect to make the most of the bright Savoyard sun and it's position on the mountain. The south-facing aspect of the property is filled with glass and entirely open plan across multiple levels. The result of this is that the interior feels light and bright on even the dimmest of days, and that all the many levels of the chalet have a view of each other.
The terrace level contains a spacious and well equipped kitchen with immediate access to dining outside.
Steps from here lead up to the dining and lounge area, warmed by a log fire. Further steps lead up to the second lounge, with the television and games. This is perfect for creating a space for the children where they can enjoy themselves, while you enjoy a glass of wine by the fire. Finally, the stairs lead up to a loft level, which has traditional and modern games for the children and access to the retreat area with desks and games.
For accommodation, there are four bedrooms in total.
The ground floor has access to the lovely deck overlooking a large empty field, with wonderful views of the other side of the valley.
The ground floor contains an en suite double room, and a twin room and bunk room which share an en suite.
The master bedroom with private balcony is on the middle level, and has a large en suite.
Chalet La Lune is sold as self-catering. There is a traditional bar and restaurant just a short walk down the road that is enjoying an upturn in trade due to excellent food. Just 2-3 minutes away by car is a large (10-12 aisle) supermarket for all your grocery needs. Nearby Morzine boasts a wealth of excellent restaurants for you to sample Savoyarde fare.
Alternatively, a Chef-to-Chalet delivered catering service can be happily organised for you, ask for more details and sample menus.
Chalet La Lune is located on the quiet main road of Essert-Romand.
The most convenient accessible lift is Le Pleney which is 5 minutes by car from the chalet.
People who stay here generally ski at one of the many ski lifts of nearby Morzine or Les Gets.
Morzine is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season.
With quick transit via Telecabin from Morzine to Avoriaz, you can access the Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste.
You can also easily access the Nyon and Le Pleney ski lifts leading over to the Les Gets resort area.
Staying at Chalet La Lune as self-catered, we do recommend you have your own transport.
For those who prefer it, there is a Balad'Aulps bus, which passes the Chalet door approximately once per hour in season and delivers you to the many lifts of Morzine.
Essert-Romand is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies.
Alternatively we can organise private transfers for guests.
The Chalet changes over on Saturdays during season.
