L'Escalade Apartment
Available for your ski holiday is this spacious log-fire warmed apartment in a farmhouse Chalet in the traditional french hamlet of Bas Thex.
Immediately adjacent Saint-Jean-d'Aulps, this chalet is off the main road and enjoys a lovely view down the valley from the wrap-around balconies.
Rented as self-catering, it's a great place to base yourself to explore the nearby Grande Terche and Portes-du-Soleil ski areas, or nearby Morzine.

Available for holiday-makers is this spacious three bedroom chalet-apartment in the shadow of the Escalade, Bas Thex.
The chalet comprises one of three apartments in a converted farmhouse chalet in the hamlet of Bas Thex, which is immediately adjacent to Saint-Jean-d'Aulps.
The main area of the apartment is warmed by a charming log fire, and firewood is provided. The dining area is immediately adjacent, and there is a bathroom and separate WC on this level, as well as bedroom 3.
Upstairs there are two more bedrooms, a twin and a spacious double with king-sized bed. Both the bedrooms upstairs have their own television.
Provided for entertainment in the evening, there are three televisions, including a very big flatscreen on the wall in the twin upstairs bedroom.
There is also a selection of board games, and a DVD player with a selection of family-friendly movies.
Chalet L'Escalade Apartment is sold as self-catering.
The kitchen has an oven, microwave, hobs and dishwasher and all the plates, pots and pans you could need.
Alternatively, a Chef-to-Chalet delivered catering service can be happily organised for you, ask for more details and sample menus.
Chalet L'Escalade is located on the main road into the hamlet of Bas Thex, directly adjacent Saint-Jean-d'Aulps.
People who stay here generally ski at either the Grande Terche lift directly across the valley from Bas Thex, or one of the many ski lifts of nearby Morzine.
The Grande Terche/Roc d'Enfer ski area has a selection of mid-skill level runs, and is not to be missed, especially as it's so close.
Morzine is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season.
Morzine's closest lift is the Ardent Telecabine, and this is approximately a 15 minute drive.
With quick access via Telecabin from Morzine to Avoriaz, you can access the Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste. You can also easily access the Nyon and Le Pleney ski lifts leading over to the Les Gets resort area.
Staying at L'Escalade Apartment as self-catered, we do recommend you have your own transport.
The Chalet is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies.
Alternatively we can organise private transfers for guests.
The Chalet changes over on Saturdays during season.
