Chalet de la Manche
Chalet de la Manche, a newly built chalet designed with entertaing ski guests in mind is now available for your unique Ski Holiday.
The chalet enjoys an idyllic location, across the road from a trickling river, and with a dense forest behind it, however it's just on the road to the Nyon Ski-lifts and you have access to the whole Portes-du-Soleil via Morzine is just minutes away.
Decorated in a quirky, old-world style, every room is individually themed and filled with carefully selected antiques and furniture typical of the era.
Enjoy the change this year, and stay in a chalet where the decor is as entertaining as the skiing.
With unique decor and a lovely spot on the edge of alpine woods, Chalet de la Manche harks back to another era, when these alps were full of similar properties used almost exclusively as hunting lodges.
While Chalet de la Manche is newly built, the decor that has been used to style it is quite timeless.
The operators have gone out of their way to find unique, quirky elements from the local area to decorate and style each room.
One room features a theme of preserved butterflies, while another is decorated with antique plates.
Themed hunting wall decorations such as can be seen in the photos complete the decor of this otherwise very modern building.
Chalet de la Manche has an open-plan living area, with kitchen open to dining and lounge rooms.
Above all that is a snug area with beanbags and furs, perfect for kids to play out of the way, but still in view.
The bedrooms are split over two levels, with each floor having it's own generously sized bathroom.
Self-Catering is flexibility
Chalet de la Manche is sold as self-catering.
It has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table that is more than large enough for the capacity of the Chalet.
There is a large (10-aisle) supermarket in Morzine itself for all your grocery needs.
There are also dozens of restaurants that will all be delighted to show you a variety of international and french cuisines.
All of Morzine's lifts to explore
Chalet de la Manche is located in the Valley de la Manche, Morzine.
This is the extended valley that winds it's way south of the township itself, between the mountains of Nyon and one side of the Avoriaz resort plateau.
The closest ski lift is the Nyon lift, which is on the same road as the Chalet, approximately a 4 minute drive north.
Alternatively, you can easily get into Morzine itself whi\ch opens up the whole Portes du Soleil, via the Super-Morzine and Le Pleney lift groups, for just a few minutes drive more.
Morzine is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies. Alternatively we can organise private transfers for guests.
Chalet de la Manche changes over on Saturdays during season.
