Cairn Lodge

Cairn Lodge is a premium chalet of 7 en suite bedrooms perched on the side of the Vallée Des Ardoisière, in Morzine. The chalet features spacious, modern bedrooms with comfortable new appointments and traditional alpine decor. Outside a hot-tub is positioned to enjoy view of the piste, and there is plenty of safe snowy hill behind the chalet for toboggan slides or snowmen building. Inside, a sauna and games room provide a way to relax in the evening, and a large open-plan lounge and dining area ensures plenty of room to relax.

Cairn Lodge has a large open plan common area, splitting it's focus between a massive outdoor entertaining space with hot-tub and piste-view, and a log-fire. There is a sauna on the ground floor and the open plan garage area has been converted into a games room with table-tennis, additional sofas and a TV with DVD player, making it an ideal space for after-dinner fun.

Flexible Accommodation

Cairn Lodge has seven en suite bedrooms in total spread over the three levels of the chalet. Four of the bedrooms are over-sized triple bedrooms with fixed double beds and single beds. These are ideal for family use, or for single individuals sharing. The other bedrooms are flexible twin bedrooms. There is an even distribution of baths and showers throughout the chalet to suit any preference.

Quality Food is Important

The chalet is sold as half-board. Your day begins with a hearty breakfast of cold and continental choices such as fruit, cereals, pastries and yoghurts, supplemented every day with a different cooked special such as pancakes, Eggs Benedict or other dishes. After your return to the chalet, you will be greeted with a freshly baked cake and other nibbles to tide you over until the dinner. Dinner is three courses served with good quality house wine, followed by a local cheese board. Special dietary requirements are happily accommodated, and children's meals are tailored to individual family needs but are always healthy and home-made.

Proximity to Piste and Transport Links

Cairn Lodge is located on the main road to the Prodaines hamlet. This hamlet has a large cable-car leading directly to the village of Avoriaz, where you can ski at 2200-2400m when the snow has long left the rest of the alps. Also accessible and even quicker, a new series of chair lifts (red slope competency required) will lead you directly to the Arare area behind Avoriaz. While the chalet is on the free ski-bus route, private mini-bus transfers are provided by your hosts on a daily basis.

The chalet is located in Morzine, this is just over 1 hour from Geneva airport by road. Transfers can be happily organised by the operator.

The chalet changes over on Saturdays during season, but may be available for short-break on request for low-season weeks.
