Chalet Barnard
Available now for your ski holiday is this warm and welcoming traditional chalet conversion in Saint-Jean-d'Aulps, with access to Morzine and all the Portes du Soleil.
With four bedrooms and a beautiful open-plan living area, it's size makes it perfect for two family groupings or a mixed group of adults.
Suitably sized and priced for families, this comfortable and warm chalet in Saint-Jean-d'Aulps stands ready to make you welcome for your ski-holiday.
Warm dark woods have been used to decorate and refurbish this chalet in Saint-Jean-d'Aulps.
Tastefully re-using as much of the original timbers as possible, the owner has created an inviting open-plan area and four comfortable bedrooms from the space.
Care has been paid to favour traditional decor and many of the features and furniture has been procured locally and painstakingly restored.
Outside there is a balcony to enjoy the view across the valley.
Situated in the friendly village of Saint-Jean-d'Aulps on the side leading to Morzine, it's well located for access to piste.
There are two car parks immediately outside, and the road is snow-cleared several times a day in Winter.
Within comfortable walking distance is the town itself with it's two restaurant and bars, as well as two patisseries and a small groceries shop.
Warm Beds
For accommodation, there are four bedrooms accessible from the landing.
The master bedroom is en suite and spacious, with room for overflow using the couch-bed if necessary.
The double and twin bedroom are also on the exterior wall and have windows to enjoy the valley view.
The bunk room is interior-facing, and ideal for children or a single adult occupant.
Self-Catering or Catering
Chalet Barnard is sold as self-catered.
The kitchen is well fitted and fully equipped.
There is a very large (10-12 aisle) supermarket within a 4-5 minute drive from the Chalet for all your supplies, and two good patisseries and a mini-supermarket in walking distance.
The village of Saint-Jean-d'Aulps is just a few minutes walk and features two popular restaurants and an excellent English-speaking bar.
Further afield, Morzine boasts an excellent range of 40-50 restaurants and bars.
Alternatively, a chef-to-chalet service could be easily organised to cater this lovely apartment.
For a fixed per-person fee, a local qualified chef can make your holiday even more comfortable.
A Welcoming Village
Chalet Barnard is located in Saint-Jean-d'Aulps, approximately 10-15 minutes drive from the centre of Morzine where numerous bars and entertainments can be found.
The closest ski-lift is the Grande Terche resort, above the Chalet and within a 2 minute drive.
However, the recommended lift is Ardent/Les Lindarets which is 10 minutes by car from the chalet.
People who stay here generally ski at either there, or one of the many ski lifts of nearby Morzine.
Morzine is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season.
With quick transit via Telecabin from Morzine to Avoriaz, you can access the Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste.
You can also easily access the Nyon and Le Pleney ski lifts leading over to the Les Gets resort area.
Chalet Barnard is just 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva airport. Transfers to and from the airport can be happily arranged.
Chalet Barnard changes over on Sundays during season.
It is sometimes available for part-week or short-break holidays, depending on the demand of the week, please enquire for prices and details.
