Chalet Avoca

Chalet Avoca is an immaculate new chalet perched on the river Dranse in the popular ski-resort of Morzine. Finished to an impeccable standard, it has large flexible rooms with a variety of sizes in order to cater to any size of group. The staff in this chalet pride themselves in providing a matching level of service.

Walking into Chalet Avoca to be greeted with champagne is like entering an alpine spa resort. The hot tub, located outside so you can enjoy a view of the river, is a lovely way to soothe aching muscles, and the calm, comfortable room with the sauna is perfect for pampering yourself with massages or beauty treatments after a hard day's ski.

Chalet Avoca is sold as catered, including six evening meals during a normal 7-day stay. A full breakfast is served each morning, to prepare you for your day's ski, including fruit, orange juice, pastries yoghurts and cereals, as well as a selection of cooked foods different each day. Afternoon tea is served in front of the log fire when you return from the slopes to warm you up as well. The evening meal is exactly what you would hope for from a chalet holiday - 4 courses of varied fare, prepared inhouse by your chalet host. Served with an excellent selection of wine (the Chalet consults an expert pre-season to stock their cellar), the meal is finished off with coffee and chocolates before you retire to the bar.

For the little ones, a child-friendly supper can be prepared and served earlier, so that they can then be put to bed before your meal commences or occupied with entertainments in the Chalet's separate TV Lounge.

People staying in Chalet Avoca can easily ski from one of the many lifts on either side of Morzine. Private minibus lifts are provided to and from the slopes each day. Morzine is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season. From either side you can access the Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste. You can also easily access the Nyon and Le Pleney ski lifts leading over to the Les Gets resort area.

The chalet is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies. Alternatively private transfers for guests, at €60 EURO per person (minimum of 4 people) can be arranged.

All the rooms are equipped with flexible beds which can be joined to form a double, or separated into distinct single beds. Several rooms are much larger than they need to be, and cots and high-chairs are happily provided by the experienced hosts. Guests are provided with all linen and towels, as well as fluffy robes and slippers for using the hot tub. Further, a welcome pack of Molton Brown toiletries is provided on arrival.
