Chalet Ardent
A designated "Zone Natural" surrounds Chalet Ardent, perched to one side of the picturesque Ardent Valley, and yet through the trees, it's just 400m from the nearest Telecabin.
This Chalet 's incomparable location is met with the very high standards of it's experienced owner-operators, who provide a level of cuisine and overall service to match this amazing location for your ski holiday.

Chalet Ardent has the one thing that other chalets simply can't compete with. An incomparable location nestled on the uphill side of the Montriond valley, facing the incredible vista of the "zone natural". Directly facing you is the sheer cliffs of the valley, which change colour over the course of a single day, and down-valley is Lac Montriond, which is an amazing location year around. When you sit in the hot-tub at Chalet Ardent, you truly feel as if you're the only Chalet in the Alps.
Built in what is now designated as zone natural, the Chalet was renovated entirely two years ago to a very high standard, creating comfortable decent sized bedrooms while retaining the charm of the original structure. Owner-operated, this chalet's hosts are an experienced and mature couple with years of working in the industry across the globe, for whom the Ardent valley is now their all year round home.
Walking into Chalet Ardent to be greeted with champagne is like entering an alpine spa resort. The hot tub, located outside so you can enjoy a view of the valley, is a lovely way to soothe aching muscles, and after that in the privacy of your room you could enjoy a massage from one of the valley's many experienced service providers.
Chalet Ardent is sold as catered, including six evening meals comprised of Italian and international cuisine during a normal 7-day stay.
A full breakfast is served each morning, to prepare you for your day's ski, including fruit, orange juice, pastries yoghurts and cereals, as well as a selection of cooked foods different each day.
Afternoon tea is served in front of the log fire when you return from the slopes to warm you up as well.
The evening meal is exactly what you would hope for from a chalet holiday - 4 courses of varied fare, prepared inhouse by your host.
The meal is finished off with coffee before you retire to recover.
The meals at Chalet Ardent are served with an excellent selection of wines (the Chalet consults experts and wine-fairs pre-season to stock their cellar).
These are chosen to complement the meals, but are of course happily modified to individual guest tastes.
There is always a large selection of bottles left out in the kitchen for guests to sample during the course of the evening.
The open, inclusive bar is also stocked with beer and soft-drinks.
For the little ones, a child-friendly supper can be prepared and served earlier, so that they can then be put to bed before your meal commences or occupied with entertainments in the Chalet's separate TV Lounge.
People staying at Chalet Ardent ski from the Ardent telecabine, 400m away. From this lift, you gain quick access to Lindarets, from which you can access the entire Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste. The advantage of starting your day at Lindarets is that you can avoid the Avoriaz area (and it's queues) completely during busy periods. Should you feel like a change, you can also easily cross over Avoriaz to Morzine itself, and sky the Nyon, Pleney or even Les Gets pistes.
The chalet is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies.
Alternatively private transfers for guests can be arranged.
All the rooms are equipped with flexible beds which can be joined to form a double, or separated into distinct single beds. Two of the rooms are much larger than they need to be, and cots and high-chairs are happily provided by the experienced hosts. Guests are provided with all linen and towels, as well as fluffy robes for using the hot tub.
Further, a welcome pack of selected Italian toiletries is provided on arrival.
Chalet Ardent changes over on Saturdays during season.

- Whole Chalet Rate: The Whole Chalet is available for the price of 8 adults. This is discounted by 400,00 € per empty bed. The additional beds in Rooms 1 and 2 can bring the group size up to 10 for a 600,00 € per person supplement.
- Extra Beds: The extra beds in Room 1 and 2 are at 25% discount from normal weekly rate.
