Chalet Alpazure

Available to book now for the winter 2009 season is this lovely owner-operated catered chalet in Montriond. A new, but traditionally built alpine home, it has all the charm you would expect from an alpine village home. Allow your hosts to welcome you into their home and serve you traditional home-cooked alpine food, while you enjoy the close proximity of some of the best starting points for skiing in the alps.

Chalet Alpazure is offered as a catered chalet. Your day starts with a healthy continental breakfast before you depart for your skiing. In the evening, your lovely hostess will prepare for you a 4-course evening meal for six days of your seven day stay, leaving you the Saturday free to sample a local restaurant. These evening meals are prepared from local produce and a menu is usually specifically catered to the requirements of the week's guests, from the hostesses large repertoire of traditional French, traditional British and other international cuisine. Traditionally, these meals are followed by coffee, port and board games!

Chalet Alpazure is located in Montriond, approximately 3-6 minutes drive from the centre of Morzine where numerous bars and entertainments can be found. A ski bus that goes once per hour during season is available from the bottom of the road, no more than 5 minutes walk from the Chalet door. There is plenty of parking at the Chalet.

People staying at Chalet Alpazure usually ski from either the Ardent or Super-Morzine Telecabins. Morzine is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season. From this chalet, you can gain quick access via the Ardent Telecabin to Lindarets, from which you can access the entire Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste. The advantage of starting your day at Lindarets is that you can avoid the Avoriaz area (and it's queues) completely during busy periods. Should you feel like a change, you can also easily access the Nyon and Le Pleney ski lifts leading over to the Les Gets resort area.

The chalet is located just over a 1 hour drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies. Alternatively the hosts can organise private transfers for guests at a reasonable fixed rate.

Chalet Alpazure changes over the catered accommodation on Wednesdays to take advantage of cheaper mid-week fares with budget carriers. Short breaks and long weekends are welcomed in this chalet. Whole Chalet discounts are available, please ask. Children aged 4-12 years are discounted 50% if sharing a room with an adult, or discounted 30% if occupying a second room. Children 12 and under will be served a children's dinner instead of the adult evening meal. Children under 4 are free if sharing a room with 2 adults.
