What sort of protection is included?
In relatively uncertain economic times it becomes more important for a traveller to protect themselves against unforeseen circumstances that may impact upon their trip or tour.
Traditionally these unforeseen circumstances have been viewed as being factors that are close to home and therefore covered within the remit of ‘travel insurance’. However as the recent collapse of several airlines has shown, factors impacting on a travellers plans may come from further afield.

ChaletBook provides you with Supplier Failure Cover in the rare event of the insolvency of one or more suppliers providing the components that make up your holiday, giving you complete peace of mind.
In the event of the insolvency of one or more suppliers you will receive a 100% refund on the cost incurred on the booking as set out below.
The policy gives you confidence to make a new booking with alternative travel arrangements in order that you may continue with your travel plans in the knowledge that you can secure a refund on your original booking.
Supplier Failure Cover is provided on accommodation bookings for the Winter 2009/2010 Season made after 1st April 2009.

Is my booking protected?
Yes, with Supplier Failure Cover all bookings are 100% protected up to the maximum sum insured of £1,500 per person.

How is my booking protected?
All bookings are fully protected via the Supplier Failure Cover scheme arranged at the time of booking. We will claim a refund from the insurance company underwriting the scheme and pass this on to you.

How are other types of booking such as car hire, airport parking, transfers etc protected?
Supplier Failure Cover offers additional protection and is not an alternative to a standard travel insurance policy. You will need to purchase travel insurance in addition to this cover.

What do I do in event of a supplier going into administration?
In the rare event of a supplier going into administration you need to contact us immediately on 0845 680 6802 or if you are aboard please call GLOBAL RESPONSE on + 44 (0) 2920 468509 and quote your insurance certificate number which is SFI/IGI/00023.
