Chalet Le Passe-Temps is a charming and modern ski chalet, located in the friendly village of Saint-Jean-d'Aulps. With five flexible bedrooms, all equipped with single beds there is plenty of flexibility to suit any arrangement of family and friends. The log-fire in the lounge room provides traditional warmth, but the entire chalet has central heating. There is a DVD player with a selection of moveis, and a games room to keep the children occupied.
The common ares of the property are open plan. Stretching from the fully equipped kitchen to a very social dining table, with the log-fire and lounge beside. Should the weather be kind, there is an easy to access terrace directly adjacent. The river Dranse is located downhill of the property, which would be ideal for non-skiers. The main village of Saint-Jean-d'Aulps has much to offer, including a very friendly English-speaking bar.
Self-catered or Chef-to-Chalet catering
Chalet Le Passe-Temps is sold as self-catered. The kitchen is well fitted and fully equipped. There is a very large (10-12 aisle) supermarket within a 10 minute drive from the Chalet for all your supplies, and multiple patisseries within walking distance. The village of Saint-Jean-d'Aulps is just a few minutes walk and features numerous popular restaurants and an excellent bar.
Alternatively, a chef-to-chalet service could be easily organised to cater this lovely apartment. For a fixed per-person fee, a local qualified chef can make your holiday even more comfortable. Please enquire for details, prices and menu choices.
Ski-bus just 500m, Village just a few minutes walk
Chalet Le Passe Temps is located on the river Dranse on a road leading to the main village of Saint-Jean-d'Aulps. The town-centre with Mairie and Church, is approximately 500m from the Chalet front-door.
Access all the Portes-du-Soleil
The closest ski-lift is the Grande Terche resort, above the Chalet and within a 2 minute drive. However, the recommended lift is Ardent/Les Lindarets which is 10 minutes by car from the chalet. People who stay here generally ski at either there, or one of the many ski lifts of nearby Morzine. Morzine is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season. With quick transit via Telecabin from Morzine to Avoriaz, you can access the Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste. You can also easily access the Nyon and Le Pleney ski lifts leading over to the Les Gets resort area.
The chalet is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies. Alternatively private transfers for guests can be arranged.
Chalet Le Passe-Temps changes over on Saturdays during season (except over the Christmas/New Year period this year). Short breaks may be possible on non-peak weeks, please ask for more details.
