Chalet des Etoiles is located in a small village, situated high on one of the passes into the main Valley d'Aulps. Elevated and with a long snow-filled garden in front of it, the Chalet offers you a taste of real alpine living and great star-gazing as well.
Chalet des Etoiles has a large and beautiful central room, around the twin focal points of log fire and dining area. The couch is generously sized, and enjoys the view through the big glass doors and windows, all of which are faced to enjoy the sunshine. Outside on the terrace, a hot-tub oriented to enjoy the view also awaits you. Inside, there is a steam-room, a refreshing change from the ubiquitous sauna and with it's own private shower.
Surprises Upstairs
Above the whole house is a long loft converted into a snug second lounge and games room. This second lounge area facing a big TV and has a wide selection of movies, games and books. Also in the big room is a pool-table, table-soccer table and games under the eaves for big and little kids to amuse themselves with.
Elevated accommodation
The bedrooms are all on the middle floor, accessed from the big gallery running around the tasteful main room. Each room has it's own en suite with decent sized showers. The slightly larger room at the end has a bath, to suit families or just those who like to indulge in a few bubbles after their ski.
Catering or optionally Self-Catering
Chalet des Etoiles is normally sold as catering, but for some non-peak weeks is available as self-catering. The catered service incldues hearty breakfasts of porrige, cereal and yoghurts and fruit, as well as a cooked option every day. After you are delivered back to the Chalet, you will be served an afternoon tea of either tea, coffee or hot-chocolates, accompanied by home-made baking.
But the real treat is the evening meal at the big, square dining table, which is much more social than long tables, and once seated the four courses will be served accompanied by bottled red or white wine. The cuisine is varied and international, with your chef taking pride in preparing delicious tastes from local, fresh ingredients.
Chalet des Etoiles is located on the quiet village of Le Corbier. The most convenient accessible lift is Ardent/Les Lindarets which is 15 minutes by car from the chalet. People who stay here generally ski at either there, or one of the many ski lifts of nearby Morzine, which is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season. With quick transit via Telecabin from Morzine to Avoriaz, you can access the Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste. Closer to the Chalet are two smaller ski-areas - Le Grande Terche, which is 10 minutes by car and has a good selection of pistes, and Col du Corbier, which is 2 minutes by car but in the other direction.
Flexible daily slope transfers are provided to all catered guests.
Corbier is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies. Alternatively we can organise private transfers for guests.
