There isn't really an item on your ski holiday wish-list that Les Lucioles doesn't take care of. Located in the very heart of Morzine, it is a matter of just a few minutes walk to the Le Pleney lifts, or just across the centre of town to the Super-Morzine lift. While the chalet itself is situated on a quiet back-street, the nightlife of Morzine's many bars is just a few minutes walk away, making an after-dinner beer or glass of wine no effort at all. But you probably won't want to leave the chalet after having been served a traditional four-course evening meal by your experienced host, followed by a soak in the terrace hot-tub.
The main floor of Les Lucioles stretches from the beautiful kitchen dining area at one end, to the open air terrace at the other. The decor and furnishings are tasteful and there is plenty of seating. The terrace is separated by large, sliding doors letting in plenty of light and giving access to the hot-tub, from which you can enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains.
Wonderfully Appointed Accommodation
Les Lucioles has five bedrooms in total. The first bedroom is quiet and downstairs, while the others are all on the top floor. Two of the bedrooms (2a and 2b below) are separated from the hall by a common door and share an en-suite with a bath, making them ideal for a family or mixed group. The other bedrooms all have en suite shower rooms.
Traditional Chalet Catering
Chalet Les Lucioles offers half-board to guests. Your day begins with a cooked and continental breakfast, featuring the constant presence of cereals, yoghurts and fruits, and with a different cooked item each day. After you return from the slopes, an après ski repast will be served, usually sweets such as home-made cakes, but sometimes savoury if that's the preference of the group. The evening meal is four courses of mixed international flavours, prepared in the chalet by your charming chalet host and served with wine. Your chef in Les Lucioles for 2008/2009 is a returning staff member who received excellent reviews for her cuisine last year.
Amazing proximity to piste
Chalet Les Lucioles is located on one of the side roads immediately behind the Le Pleney lifts. Just a few metres from the end of the road is the Piou Piou kids ski-club, making this location even more ideal for families with children. It would take less than 3 minutes to walk to the ski-lifts, or alternatively for a change you could walk to the Super-Morzine lift in approximately 5 minutes.
Chalet Les Lucioles is just 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva airport. Transfers to and from the airport are not included in the price, but can be happily arranged by the operator.
Chalet Les Lucioles changes over on Saturdays during season, but is available for short-breaks subject to availability.
