Chalet Chelmer is an iconic Morzine property, attracting a reputation over the years it has welcomed guests. Yet this year, it's operated by a new company bringing a fresh welcome to this well-known building.
The main common areas of the chalet are on the lowest level, with access to the garden. There is a light and traditional lounge room with bar and log fire. The honesty bar remains open during your stay and is reasonably priced.
Chalet Chelmer has four bedrooms and four bathrooms spread over the three levels of the Chalet. The rooms feature views across Morzine to the Le Pleney slopes, and have additional bunks or single beds in them to make it easier to accommodate any family group.
Quality Home-cooked food
Chalet Chelmer offers half-board to guests. Your day begins with a continental breakfast of croissants, cereals, yoghurts, fruit, fresh coffee and tea. After you return from the slopes, an après ski repast will be served. The evening meal is three courses of mixed Savoyarde and international flavours, prepared in the chalet by your charming host. Children's supper consists of 2 courses and is usually served before the main meal.
Chalet Chelmer is located on the road to the Avoriaz resort between Morzine and Avoriaz. The most convenient accessible lift is Super Morzine which is less than 5 minutes by provided transport from the chalet. Morzine is a thriving ski-hub enjoying more and more popularity each season. With quick transit via Telecabin from Morzine to Avoriaz, you can access the Portes-du-Soleil with it's 650km of piste and great off-piste. You can also easily access the Nyon and Le Pleney ski lifts leading over to the Les Gets resort area.
Daily pick-up and drop-off at piste is provided for guests taking the chalet as catered. For self-catering guests, there will be one drop-off at piste in the morning, but guests will need to use the readily available ski-bus to return to the Chalet.
Morzine is located 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Geneva Airport where there are many rental car companies. Alternatively the operator is delighted to organise private transfers for guests for a fixed, per person price.
